    • The proposal for renaming the School is approved by the Board of Directors, Yonsei University (the new name in English, the Graduate School of Communication and Arts, is not changed).

    • The proposal for integrating two graduate programs is approved by all faculty members of the two programs.

    • Two graduate programs, ‘the Graduate School of Communication and Arts’ and ‘Department of Journalism and Mass Communication,’ decide to work on the merge, and prepare a proposal for integration.

    • Launch ‘Media Art’ major (MFA degree) and ‘Visual Arts’ major (DFA degree).

    • Professor Young-seok Kim is appointed as the Dean of the School.

    • Provided two MFA majors (Film and Broadcasting and Visual Design) and one MA/Ph.D major (Multimedia Journalism).
    • Establish the Graduate School of Communication and Arts, and hold the first entrance ceremony (Professor Jung Woo Suh becomes the first ever Dean of the School).
