o In this study, it observes everyday life represented by the newly emerging domestic reality program so called,‘Observational Reality Program’. Unlike\r\nthe previous reality shows that only broadcasted the partial reality outside of the studio, the observational reality program on the other hand, reveals the overall day-to-day life itself. Accordingly, this research claims the question to the representation of everyday life beyond the matter of how previous studies just simply interested in the reality represented by many of reality\r\nprograms. \r\nThis study attempts to find the concrete answer through the reality show called, . Particularly, the main purpose of this study not only gives attention to how the observational reality program represents reality, but also it puts its heavy emphasis on finding out the true meaning of that phenomenon. Throughout the observation, there were 10 times amounts of text analysis and reception analysis with 13 different people, and through this project of analysis, it finds out the problems of everyday representation by connecting the relationship between the symbolic power which media covers and our society's dominant discourse.\r\nTo talk about the result of the observation, it ultimately discovered that observational reality program like eventually creates some sort of‘spectacles of everyday life’ by borrowing the ‘codes of everyday life’ and that let the recipients to believe it as if the non-everyday life is everyday life\r\nof every one of us. Compositions of narrative, background, character sets of the program, all present non-daily life through exposing artificial devices. However, the ‘spectacle of everyday life’ is well and effectively concealed through a unique structure grammar of the program. The program successfully hides the ‘non-everydayness’ by coping the day-to-day time, concentrating on private space, focusing on highlighting the celebrity’s normalness and private images. On the other hand, the observational reality program, volunteers to become a “reference”for the audience. In addition, this program in specific creates various devices in advance so that everyone watching the program can receive identical effects and react to the intended sets of everydayness. \r\nOne thing to note here is the fact that such planned sets of everydayness strategy actually created intended reactions from recipients. 13 people (recipients) who participated in this study show both denotative level of\r\nmeaning (integrated aspects of acceptance) and as well as connotative level of meaning (accept internal meaning of the program). To add some specific explanations, it means that through the observation, recipients are found out\r\nto believe the program both as real and artificial everydayness at the same time, while there are also people who just consider the program as a true everydayness, respectively. Additionally, recipients of connotative level of meaning are revealed to be very active in connecting their own daily life to the everyday life broadcasted through the program, in another words, they are practicing cognitive and practical level of acceptance by the dimensional level of the concept, ‘judgement’ and ‘imitation’ respectively.\r\nFrom this, it was to realize that between the discourse of self-improvement in neoliberal era and the everydayness which constructs are\r\nhaving a mutual relationship to one another. The program defines the life living alone as such a critical situation that should be overcame, and moreover the program itself motivates people to be more developing by often broadcasting diverse kinds of special activities and experiences of everyday life. Therefore, this paper criticizes how the program defines ‘everyday life’\r\nwithin their intended sets of everydayness as if people should do something productive if they live alone. This is closely related to the concept of‘self-improvement terrorist’ which refers to keep pushing people to\r\ncontinuously do something to develop and improve. Also, since the observational reality program focuses on the private sphere, ‘everydayness’as well as ‘everyday emotions’ are all controlled by neoliberal self-improvement everydayness. Moreover, through the program, various activities and experiences are discovered to be lied behind the idea of‘commodified festival’, and that the intended everydayness of ‘spectacles of everyday’ is found to be intimately related to the context of consumer operations.\r\nAs a conclusion, this study concerns how the observational reality programs, particularly one of the observational reality shows; the so-called creates ‘spectacles of everyday life’. This study therefore critically argues that the recipients or audiences of the program are subjected to take everydayness as set of ‘reference’ under the control of\r\nsocial dominant discourse and moreover discovered that it eventually guides people to create certain sets of “intended” everydayness.
