We are now living in the world of speed and synthesis. The development of technology has provided us so many tools for many different expressions. It is simply amazing that a whole life pattern could be changed in one night. We experience new technological means every day by day. These are meant to be the great addition and life blood for a pastmodern (or simply just a 'modern') man. As such technology began to be mass-produced, it becomes a style, trend, and then a norm. Then, everything that existed before (even just now) becomes a past, a history. In other words, it is even more amazing to see how we simply abandon or discard the yesterday for 'what-it-seems-to-be-the-better-tomorrow'\r\n\r\nIn my view point, such aspect happens everywhere; in society, politics, academia, etc. In the field of design, for example, we experience new software, concepts, and seminars and so on. The hot issue almost always centers on what is HOT on the surface and what kind of tool offers a top-notch technological impression. If we are to be looking at it sideways, it is not more than putting people in a similar measurement and a pursuit of mere progression and style. It seems like we have totally forgotten the importance of that's precious little thing' we abandoned yesterday for a 'new change.' It seems to be not more than speeding up de-humanizing ourselves by losing each individual's identity. And this is where I intend to apply my theme, electronic dance music aka Electronica.\r\n\r\nAt the dawn of the 19th century, the artists saw the technology as the gateway for free music. Throughout the century the artists opened up our views that the machine could make us more human, not de-humanizing. It is done through not only their creativity, but through the rigorous pursuit of intrinsic nature of music that it is the rhythm of the universe. At the same time, this is not only done by the artists themselves, but with the fusion of cultural phenomenon, which embraced the possibilities of infinity.\r\n\r\nThrough sampladelia, the paradigm of music moved from narrative to the landscape (composition to organization). The use of vintages showed us how past could be organized and transformed into a whole new 'something.' Maybe it is nonsense to even talk about the difference between music and sound nowadays.\r\n\r\nThrough psychedelia, music and human became one in one space questioning what it is to be human and what it is to be living in a better world. It provided us, once again, the most importance aspect of human beings; peace, love, unity and respect.\r\n\r\nIt is almost a breathtaking experience that actually there is an alternative answer to what is known to be the man machine world that we could be well synthesized with machines not losing our humanity. At this point, therefore, the importance of looking back the past increases because the past has been always the mirror and the answer to the future; we have always living in the past in the dream of future.
