With the recent hardware developments, there has been an increase in media that utilizes virtual three dimensional spaces like 3D games, and various contents have been developed accordingly. 3D dimensional space developments that had been based on the players to swim in a certain space had been popular amongst the users, and the area had been expanding. However, as 3D spaces require accumulation of adequate experiences to navigate within the given space, there could be a sense of losing where one is, or end up in a void space due to the intention of the developers not complying with the way a user interacts with it. These sorts of problems decrease the accessibility of the users, and developers have spent a lot of time as opportunity cost to solve this problem. There is no question that there had been extreme amounts of time spent beforehand to avoid these sorts of errors. However, it is virtually impossible to prevent all sorts of problems beforehand. Therefore, this researcher tried his best to both efficiently and actively manages these problems, and had found a possible breakthrough with the Swedish grid system that is also called international style in both functionality and usefulness. A study was especially focused on the positive sides of the 2D column grid, module grid, and the hierarchical grid, and had expanded this into a 3D space to suggest a 3D grid system. \r\n The strength of a 2D column grid is that it can distinguish various information effectively and can be managed accordingly. Therefore, this strength should be taken into a 3D dimension to form a basic structure. Also, the research known as Le Corbusier that is about the ratio of the golden ratio and the ratio of the human body, have actively incorporated the modulor, and to use this in a 3D working tool, a replica had been suggested for the 3D modulor. The 3D modular that had been created has incorporated the elements of a space structure, and this had been used to control the character’s movement. Additionally, the modulor that had been created according to Le Corbusier that was based on the 8 proportioned figures, was deeply considered so it could also be incorporated into a 4 proportioned figure, 6 proportioned figure and human figures of different proportions. Lastly, a hierarchical grid was introduced to respond to the happenings or changes that influence the change of the space in regards to the movement within the space. To accomplish this, it was needed to add a new axis to a 3D space and expand it to a 4D space. This was not an expansion based on rectangular coordinate system, but an expansion based on the space and time. The 3D hierarchical grid that had been expanded within the space was used as a tool to control the movements. \r\n If one could understand the concept of the grid not as a grating structure, but a theoretical tool to control and add order to the screen structure and use it in a 3D space, it would be able to provide the players with a clearer 3D space; it would also minimize the possibility of spaces of error. This will eventually lead to the increase in the user's accessibility.\r\n\r\n Through this study, it is hoped that the research on 3D grid system be more active, and hope it acts as a guideline for those creating new projects that are heavily involved in 3D spaces.
