대면 대화, 증강 현실, 증강 정보
낯선 사람과 만족스러운 대화를 나누는 것은 쉽지 않다. 가장 큰 이유 중 하나는 상대방에 대한 정보가 부족하기 때문이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 증강 현실 기술로 대화 도중 증강 정보를 제공해 대면 대화를 도와주려는 연구들이 존재한다. 하지만 이 연구들은 적은 사용 목적에 대해서만 탐구 되었으며 증강 정보가 대화에 미치는 영향과 필요한 정보의 종류에 대해선 충분한 연구가 진행되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 낯선 사람과의 대면 대화를 돕는 증강 정보 제공 서비스가 대화 경험에 미치는 영향을 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대화 도중 제공되는 증강 정보에 대한 잠재적인 사용자들의 인식과 니즈를 이해하는 인터뷰를 진행했다. 이후 증강 정보 제공 어플리케이션인 AR 프로필과 정보 수집 도구를 제작하고 사용 유무에 따른 대화 경험 차이를 분석했다. 결과적으로 AR 프로필이 참여자들의 대화 행동과 대화 내용에 미치는 긍정, 부정적인 영향을 발견했고 대면 대화를 돕는 증강 정보 서비스의 새로운 사용 목적과 발전 방향을 제안했다.
Having pleasant conversations with strangers is not easy. One of the biggest reasons is the lack of information about the opponent. In order to solve this, there are studies to help face-to-face conversation by providing augmented information during conversation based on augmented reality technology. However, these studies have been explored only for a small number of purposes, and not enough research has been conducted on the effect of augmented information on the conversation and the type of information required. In this study, we tried to understand the effect of augmented information providing service that helps face-to-face conversation with strangers on conversation experience. We conducted interviews to understand the perceptions and needs of potential users for augmented information provided during the conversation. We created an augmented information-providing application called AR Profile, and an information collection tool, and analyzed the difference in conversation experience with and without use. As a result, we found positive and negative effects of AR profiles on participants' conversation behavior and conversation content. Based on this, we proposed a new purpose of use and considerations for augmented information services that help face-to-face conversations.
