본 연구의 목적은 북한 미사일 관련 보도에 있어 언론사들의 프레임 변화가 정치 변동 시기와 어떠한 관계를 갖느냐에 맞춰져 있다. 이를 위해 연구대상으로는 정치적 성향이 다른 조선일보, 한겨레, 한국일보를 택했으며 분석 기간은 비교적 유사한 사건인 북한 미사일이 발사된 2006년과 2009년의 발사시기 전후를 설정했다. 1차적으로 실시한 정보원 유형 및 성향 분포의 변화에서 한겨레는 북한 미사일 문제에 대해 진보적 정부에서 보수적 정부로 정권이 이양됨에 따라 유사한 정보원 성향 변화를 수반했다. 이 같은 첫 번째 분석 결과는 북한 미사일 발사라는 특수한 상황에서 활용할 수 있는 정보원이 한정되어 있고, 정치권력과 언론의 관계에 대해 엘리트 이론이 설명할 수 있는 부분이 크다는 사실을 확인해준다. 본 연구에서 주목하여 살펴본 프레임 분석 결과는 정치변동 하에 유사한 위기 상황을 보도하는 언론사의 프레임 변화를 구체화 했다는 의미가 있다. 2006년과 2009년 북한 미사일 발사 상황에 대한 문제정의 프레임, 원인분석 프레임, 도덕적 평가 프레임, 해결책 프레임 등에서 각 언론사는 대부분 정권 변화 시기별로 변화를 보였다. 그런데 유의미한 차이는 시기별로 달리 나타났으며 특히 2006년 진보적 성향의 정권이 들어섰을 때보다 2009년 보수적 성향의 정권이 들어섰을 때 신문사간 유의미한 차이가 줄어들었다. 즉, 본 연구에서 분석대상으로 삼았던 조선일보와 한겨레 그리고 한국일보 간 프레임의 분포 차이가 2006년에 비해 2009년 줄어들었으며, 이는 정치적 변동 상황이 한겨레 및 한국일보에 영향을 주었다는 것을 나타낸다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 정치적 변동 상황이 북한 미사일 발사 보도의 정보원 유형 및 성향과 문제정의·원인분석·해결책 제시 프레임에 영향을 미친다는 결론을 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 특히 과거에 비해 진보적 성향의 대북관을 드러냈던 한겨레의 정보원 분포 및 프레임이 보수적 정권이 들어섬으로 인해 변동했다는 사실은, 북한 미사일을 포함한 대북 보도에 있어 보다 다양한 보도 진영의 확보가 위축됐다는 측면을 보여줌으로써 향후 북한 미사일 보도를 평가할 수 있는 자료로 활용될 수 있겠다. 또한 본 연구는 앞선 선행 연구를 후속적으로 연구하되 정보원의 유형 뿐 아닌 성향의 변화, 사실 기사 뿐 아닌 의견기사의 기고자 성향 및 시기별 프레임 분석을 동시에 실시했다는 의미가 있다.
This object of the study is to know relationship between change of political power and newspaper's political inclination. Especially, the study looked into how newspaper framed the event of North Korea's missiles based on political power changes and compared each newspaper company's framing strategy. \r\nThis study focused on news related on North Korea's missiles as a topic of the research. News on North Korea;s missiles has been related with the political attitudes toward North Korea and changed in accordance with governments' policies to North Korea. This research picked Cho-Sun Ilbo, HanKyoreh, and Hankook Ilbo. These newspaper has been regarded as having different political inclination. Among all those reports related to the issue the study focused on the reports in 2006 and 2009. It is worth of comparing the reports that happened during Noh, Mu Hyun administration and Lee, Myung Bak administration based on power acquisition procedure, its characteristics and North Korea related policy.\r\nThe results from this research have uselfulness to show the changes of frames in 2006 and 2009. Especially Entman's frame analysis was used to compare changes between these periods. Frame for Defining problems. clarifying causes estimating moral stances, and suggesting solutions were helpful to compare frames among newspaper and between periods. Most frames, except estimating moral stances, were changed in accordance with periods. Most of all, differences among three newspaper were shrunken in 2009 and this means the political shift to the conservative influenced on newspaper's frames. Especially Hankyoreh, and Hankook Ilbo were relatively influenced by the political shift.\r\nIn conclusion, comparing distribution of frames among newspaper and different changes between two political periods were possible through this research. THis research showed that political power shift to the conservative influenced on liberal or neutral newspaper's frames and these results made the ideological spectrum for North Korea shrunken.
