커뮤니케이션 능력, 부부 관계 유지 행동, 결혼 만족도, 구조방정식 모형, 잠재평균분석
본 논문에서는 커뮤니케이션 능력이 부부 관계 유지 행동을 매개로 결혼 만족도에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 나아가 각 변인들 간의 관계가 남성, 여성 집단에서 어떠한 차이를 보이는지를 분석하였고 잠재평균분석을 통해 각 변인 별로 남녀 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 존재하는지를 살펴보았다.\r\n\r\n가설모형 분석 결과, 커뮤니케이션 능력이 높을수록 부부 관계 유지 행동이 유의미하게 증가했고, 관계 유지 행동도 결혼 만족도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 커뮤니케이션 능력은 결혼 만족도에 직접적으로 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 관계 유지 행동을 매개로 했을 때 결혼 만족도에 정적인 전체효과를 나타냈다. 관계 유지 행동이 커뮤니케이션 능력보다 결혼 만족도에 강한 영향력을 행사하는 중요한 요인이었다.\r\n\r\n잠재평균분석 결과, 남성이 여성에 비해 유의미하게 결혼 만족도가 높았지만 잠재변인 간의 구조적 관계는 남녀 집단에서 동일하게 나타났다. 남성 집단, 여성 집단 모두 커뮤니케이션 능력이 높을수록, 부부 관계 유지 행동을 잘 사용했으며, 그로 인해 결혼 만족이 높게 나타났다.\r\n\r\n커뮤니케이션 능력이 결혼 만족도를 높이는 요인으로 인식되어 왔지만 이는 관계 유지 행동의 매개적 효과로 인한 것이기 때문에 결혼 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 커뮤니케이션 능력보다 관계 유지 행동을 중점적으로 높여야 한다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship between communication competence and marital satisfaction through relational maintenance behaviors. The present study hypothesized structural model to examine the effects of relational maintenance behaviors along with communication competence on marital satisfaction and to investigate how these effects are influenced by the differences in the structural relationships of males and females. \r\nThe data adequately fit to the hypothesized model. The results reveal that communication competence positively affects maintenance behaviors and, maintenance behaviors positively affect marital satisfaction. Communication competence negatively affects the level of marital satisfaction in direct way. However, communication competence has positive effect on marital satisfaction through relational maintenance behaviors. \r\nUsing latent mean analysis, we examined gender differences. Males appeared to have higher marital satisfaction. The relationship among variables, however, showed no difference across gender. \r\nMaintenance behaviors are critical predictors of marital satisfaction mediating communication competence. In order to enhance the level of marital satisfaction, we need to focus more on maintenance behaviors development.
