모바일 산업이 발달하면서 이전의 종이 지도와 웹 지도에서 벗어나 시공간의 제약 없이 이동 상황 중에도 지도 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 모바일 지도 애플리케이션은 지도 서비스뿐만 아니라 위치 정보를 기반으로 점차 다양한 정보를 제공하고 있다. 이동성과 즉시 접속성이라는 특성으로 다양한 정보와 기능을 제공하는 만큼 사용자의 니즈에 따라 다양한 사용 상황에서 이용된다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 맥락적(context) 상황과 물리적(Physical) ? 행동적(behavioral) 상황, 즉 사용자가 모바일 앱을 사용하고 사용자의 행동이 일어나고 있는 상황(situation)에 적절하게 대응할 수 있는 유연성을 지닌 상황 적합 (Situation-suitable) 인터페이스를 제안한다.
이론 연구 및 선행 사례 분석, 사용자 조사 결과를 바탕으로 연구문제를 도출했다. 사용자의 모바일 지도 앱 사용 상황과 이용 행태를 이해하기 위한 사용자 조사를 진행하여 사용 상황, 이용 기능 및 서비스, 정보 유형을 파악하였으며 앞서 진행한 선행 사례 분석과 사용 상황 및 이용 행태, 사용자 니즈와 불만 사항을 토대로 여덟 가지 제안점을 도출하였다. 제안점을 토대로 작품 연구를 진행하여 상황 적합 인터페이스를 제안하였으며, 모바일 인터페이스 평가 요인을 바탕으로 사용성 평가를 진행한 후 사용성 평가 결과에 따라 최종 작품을 제안하였다.
본 연구에서 제안된 상황 적합 인터페이스는 시각적 효과 및 정보 측면에 국한된 모바일 지도 앱 연구에서 벗어나 사용성 향상을 위한 모바일 지도 앱 서비스 사용 경험 개선을 중심으로 사용 상황에 유연하게 적용되는 인터페이스 디자인을 제안하는 데 의의가 있다.
As the Mobile industry developed, it became possible to use the Map Service while moving without the restriction of time and space, moving away from the previous paper map and web map service. Mobile map applications are expanding services by providing various information based on location information as well as map services.
It is used in various usage situations according to the needs of users while providing various information and functions with the property of mobility and instant connectivity.
Therefore, this study proposes a Situation-Suitable Interface with flexibility that can appropriately respond to situations where users to use mobile apps, including context, physical, and behavioral situations.
Research questions were derived based on theoretical research, analysis of previous cases, and user survey results. In order to understand the user's mobile map application usage situation and usage behavior, we conducted a user survey to identify the usage situation, usage function and service, and information type. Based on the usage situation and usage behavior, user needs and complaints, eight suggestions were derived.
Based on the eight suggestions, the study conducted a design study to propose a Situation-Suitable interface, and after evaluating usability based on the mobile interface evaluation factors, the final design outputs were proposed according to the usability evaluation results.
The proposed Situation-Suitable interface is meaningful in that it proposes an interface design that is flexibly applied to the situation of use, focusing on improving the experience of using mobile map app services to improve usability, away from the previous studies on mobile map apps limited to visual effects and information aspects.
