윤동주기념관, 기록관, 기록 전시, 온라인 전시, 온라인 기록 전시
‘윤동주기념관’은 윤동주의 삶과 문학의 의미를 기리고 확장하기 위해 체계적으로 기획된 기록/인물 전시관으로, 윤동주가 연세대학교 재학 당시 머물던 기숙사인 연세대학교 핀슨관을 복원하여 전시실 및 기념관으로 사용하고 있다. 기록 전시를 보러 오는 관람객은 주로 기록물에 대한 정보를 얻기 위해 기록관을 방문하며, 기록관은 정보 제공에 알맞은 큐레이션으로 전시를 진행한다. 연구자는 2021년 01월부터 1년간 윤동주기념관의 1, 2기 도슨트로 활동하면서 관람객들이 간혹 관람에 지루함을 느끼거나 피로감을 보이는 것을 발견했다. 또한, 윤동주기념관의 오프라인 전시 콘텐츠에 있어서 기억하기 어려운 전시 내용이나 단순 시청각 전시품으로 관람객들이 전시를 얼마나 이해했으며, 전시를 통해 어떤 것을 가져갈 수 있을지 의문을 가지게 되었다. 이는 COVID-19로 인해 온라인 매체가 더 중요해지고 있는 시점에서, 온라인 전시를 통해 관람객이 전시를 회상하고 정보를 다시 볼 수 있게끔 하는 것으로 해결할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 윤동주기념관의 전반적인 전시 콘텐츠를 살펴보고, 기존의 기록 전시를 온라인으로 보여줄 때 관람객이 감각적으로 정보를 전달받을 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.
현재 윤동주기념관은 온라인 웹사이트를 단순한 정보 제공 용도로 사용하고 있으며, 온라인 특징을 살린 전시를 진행하지 않는다. 또한, 온라인 전시로는 ‘구글 아트 앤 컬쳐’를 사용하여 오프라인 콘텐츠를 새로 큐레이션 한 것이 전부이다. 윤동주기념관뿐만 아니라 지금까지 웹, 앱의 온라인 전시를 다루고 있는 기록관은 기준과 체계가 없고 무엇보다 사용자의 니즈를 고려하지 않은 채 정보만 단순 나열했다는 한계를 지닌다.
본 논문에서는 기록 전시, 특히 윤동주기념관에 적용할 수 있는 사항 중에서 온라인 환경을 이용한 전시 요소들에 대해서 알아보았다. 연구자는 기존 문헌 고찰과 현황 분석을 통해 윤동주기념관의 문제점 및 개선 방안에 대해 파악하고, 나아가 온라인 기록 전시에 적용할 수 있는 전시 기획을 연구하였다.
따라서 온라인 매체를 활용한 기록 전시 활성화 방안으로 다음과 같이 크게 세 가지를 제안하고자 한다.
1) 디지털 기술을 활용한 전시 콘텐츠 기획
2) 웹사이트의 화면 구성 요소 개선
3) 온라인 전시 굿즈 제작
COVID-19로 인한 사회적 거리 두기와 디지털 전환으로 온라인 매체의 역할의 중요성은 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 온라인 기록 전시는 다양한 온라인 기술을 활용하여 관람객이 직접 참여하고 함께 만들어 나아갈 수 있는 쌍방향적 작품을 포함해야 한다. 또한, 기록물을 효과적으로 전달할 수 있는 웹사이트 화면 구성 요소와 전시 관람 후에 관람객들이 온라인 전시를 추억하기 위한 굿즈 같은 보상적 결과물이 필요하다.
본 연구는 윤동주기념관부터 시작하여 모든 기록 전시관에서 서로 소통하고 공감할 수 있는 3가지 온라인 기록 전시 활성화 방안을 알아보았다. 앞으로의 온라인 기록 전시는 단순히 오프라인을 대변하거나, 온라인에서 전시를 관람한다는 의미에서 더 나아가 오프라인 전시와 차별화된 하나의 ‘전시’로 인식되어져야 한다. 또한 온라인 전시 관람객이 오프라인 전시 방문으로 이어질 수 있는 온라인 기록 전시 연구의 중요성과 필요성을 제안한다.

“Yoon Dongju Memorial hall” is a systematically designed archive exhibition to commemorate and expand the meaning of Yoon Dongju's life and his literature. The dormitory he studied at Yonsei University has been restored and is used as an exhibition/memorial hall. The primary purpose of visiting the archive exhibition is to obtain information on the record, and the exhibition is featured with curations providing information. While participating as the first and second docent of the Yoon Dongju Memorial Hall for a year from January 2021, I have encountered that visitors occasionally showed boredom and fatigue during the exhibition. In addition, I raise a question of how much the visitors understood the exhibition and what they could take from it via simple audio-visual exhibits and contents that were difficult to remember in the offline exhibition contents of the Yoon Donju Memorial Hall. This can be solved by allowing visitors to recall the exhibition and view information again through online exhibitions, significantly when the importance of online media is increasing due to COVID-19. Therefore, this paper examines the overall exhibition contents of the Yun Dongju Memorial Hall and proposes ways for visitors to receive information when experiencing the offline exhibition online sensibly.
The Yoon DongJu Memorial Hall currently uses the online website for simple information provision and does not hold exhibitions that utilize online characteristics. Moreover, the only online exhibition is a new curation of offline content using 'Google Art and Culture.' In addition to the Yoon Dong-Ju Memorial Hall, the archives dealing with online exhibitions of the online websites and mobile applications so far have limitations. They simply list information without considering users' needs.
In this paper, exhibition elements using an online environment among the items applicable to archive exhibitions, especially the Yoon Dongju Memorial hall, were investigated. Through reviewing previous studies and analyzing current status, this paper identified problems and improvement plans of the Yun Dong-Ju Memorial Hall, thus studied exhibition planning that can be applied to the exhibition of online records.
Therefore, I would like to propose three main ways to revitalize archive exhibitions using online media.
1) Planning exhibition contents using digital technology
2) Improving the screen components of the website.
3) Production of online exhibition goods
The importance of the role of online media is rapidly increasing due to social distancing and digital transformation caused by COVID-19. The online archive exhibition should include two-way interactive exhibits that allow visitors to participate and create together via online technologies. Furthermore, compensatory results such as a screen components of the website that can effectively deliver records and goods for visitors to remember the online exhibition after viewing the exhibition are needed.
Starting with the Yoon DongJu Memorial Hall, this study investigated three activation plans of online archive exhibitions that can communicate and relate with each other in all records exhibitions. In the future, online record exhibitions should be recognized as one "exhibition" differentiated from offline exhibitions in the sense of simply representing offline or viewing exhibitions online. This paper also proposes the importance and necessity of online archive exhibition research that can lead to offline exhibition visits by online exhibition visitors.
